Is salmon good for acid reflux?

Usually well tolerated

Grilled, baked or poached salmon is usually well tolerated. It is an oily fish, so very large portions or rich sauces may bother some people.

Tips

  • Bake or poach rather than fry, and skip creamy sauces.

Is it a trigger for you?

Reactions vary a lot between people. Log salmon in the symptom diary for two weeks: it shows how often each food is followed by symptoms. Then try two weeks without it and compare.
